The property offers five bedrooms, four bathrooms, and an enviably large private terrace where the vista just keeps getting better — with the beach just a short walk away. In cooler months, guests can gather on plush sofas around the fireplace.

THE SPACE
A short walk up from the sandy beach, The Spinney is designed with every guest in mind — toddlers, teens, and four-legged family members alike. Every window offers its own spectacular view, and the interior makes the most of every nook and cranny. The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped, and the dining area is ideal for catching up on the day or making cocktails with friends. Cosy up by the fire in cooler months, or throw open the doors to the terrace when it's warm. Outside, guests can laze in the hammock, feast at the table, soak in the hot tub, or relax with a glass of fizz while taking in the view.

Check heating ahead of guests arrival in winter so it’s not cold. Fresh escapes were keen to work out how to resolve boiler issues.

We had two issues; there were no lights down to the hot tub which made it difficult to see the steps to and from the house. The second, a window had been left open behind a locked room causing the wind to bang doors, but contacted made to host and quickly resolved. The location of this house is great for getting the bus as it was literally right outside the front door as well as being a short drive/ trip to the zoo, the steam train and other fun things to do. We would absolutely stay again 😊 |

The garden furniture needs upgrading, which is a shame as the balcony is lovely with spectacular views. There were a couple of maintenance issues which we reported to the manager. But overall we had a great stay and would recommend it.

We stayed at the spinney for 3 nights during the Easter break - we were 2 families totalling 6 adults and 5 children. There was ample space for all of us. Every bedroom was a great size as were the bathrooms. The house was clean & tidy, all linens wesee more

Every bedroom was a great size as were the bathrooms. The house was clean & tidy, all linens were plenty and again kept nice and clean and easy to locate. The outside space of the house was fantastic, stunning gardens and great decking area. The location of the house was great, close to lots of amenities and a very short drive to the beach, there are local shops within walking distance. Communication from the host was also fantastic, replied promptly and resolved any queries we had. Finding the house was easy as was access for check in. Overall we had a fantastic trip and highly recommend the spinney if you're looking to stay in the Torquay area.
